Success Story: Pam Kalvin

Jacqueline Peters P.T.A., Pam Kalvin Rehab Graduate, Jennifer Podoll C.N.A., and Jaime Ryczek Therapy Director.

When I first came to Villa Pines I didn’t know my name or where I was and I couldn’t move at all.  Because of the care and attention from the nurses, CNA’s and the hard work of the therapy staff, I can now write, stand, walk some with a walker and even do most of my daily cares by myself. Thanks to all!

I had surgery in another state in October.  I felt nothing was being done to get me better.  My daughter, who lives in Friendship, WI, came to Villa Pines and told them about my situation.  Villa Pines saved me a room and I arrived Sunday, December 7th around noon. I couldn’t keep anything down and couldn’t walk.  Therapy started right away and I seemed to get better everyday.  I have so much to be grateful for.  Many heartfelt thanks to all of Villa Pines’ staff: the kitchen went above and beyond; the nursing staff were very caring and kind; the DON came in early for my IV meds, and the therapy department was very supportive and motivating in my rehab.  I will be returning to my own apartment soon and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the care I received at Villa Pines Living Center.
